Privacy Policy — Meme Ludo

Last updated 4 October 2026

Meme Ludo is a board game. There is no sign-up, no account and no password. This page explains the little that is collected, why, and how to get rid of it.

There is no account

You never give us an email address, a phone number or a password, because the game never asks for one. Everything below follows from that: there is no profile to build and nothing to log in to.

What the game keeps on your phone

This stays on your device. It is not sent anywhere, and uninstalling the game removes all of it.

  • The name you choose for yourself
  • The avatar you pick
  • Your language, music and sound settings
  • A match in progress, so you can finish it later
  • A random code the game makes up the first time you open it, to tell your seat apart from the other players' in an online game

That random code is generated by the game itself. It is not your phone's advertising ID, not your Android ID, and not anything that identifies your device to anyone else. It means nothing outside this game.

What is sent to our server, and only when you play online

Playing on one phone, or against the computer, sends nothing at all — those modes work with no internet. When you play online or in a room with friends, the server needs:

  • The name you chose, so the other players can see whose turn it is
  • That random code, so the server knows which seat is yours
  • Your moves — dice rolls and which piece you played

Chat

Messages during an online match are held in the server's memory for the length of that match and are never written to a database. They are deleted the moment the match ends, and are gone if the server restarts. Nobody can read them afterwards, including us.

What is never collected

  • No location
  • No contacts, photos, files or microphone
  • No payment details — the game is free and sells nothing
  • No advertising identifier

No advertising and no tracking

The game contains no advertising, no analytics and no crash-reporting tools. No third-party company receives anything about you, because there are no third-party components in the game that could send it.

How long things are kept

Settings, your name, a saved match
On your phone until you uninstall the game or clear its data
Chat messages
Only while the match is being played
A live match in progress
Only while it is being played
Online room records (room code, player names, seat colours)
Kept on the server so a room can be rejoined; removed on request

Who else sees it

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising. The game's server is run for us by a hosting provider, and room records are held in a hosted database. They store the data on our behalf and do nothing else with it.

Children

Meme Ludo is not aimed at children under 13 and is not designed for them. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us a name, write to us and we will remove it.

Removing your data

  • On your phone: uninstall the game, or clear its data in Android Settings. That removes your name, avatar, settings and any saved match.
  • On the server: email us and we will delete the room records associated with you. There is no account to close, so this is the only step.

Changes to this policy

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that meaningfully affects what is collected will be announced in the game.
